if
the ocean
can calm itself,
so can you.
we
are both
salt water
mixed with

Hello beautiful humans,

First and foremost, thank you for existing.

Secondly, welcome and thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts and memories in the form of what I hope are digestible readings, accompanied by a collection of visuals. I hope to connect with readers who hold similar sentiments as my own, along with those who may feel otherwise.

The complexity of the human body and the power of mother nature is the inspiration behind the name: humankaind.

In July of 2017, seven days in the Hawaiian islands with my parents changed my life. It's a pretty dramatic statement, but I stand by it.
I wouldn't be where I am or in the better state that I am, had I not spent those days floating in crystal clear water, reading on barren beaches, walking through respected land, and breathing in clean oxygen, while eating the freshest fruits and most energizing meals.

Kai means the ocean in the Hawaiian language. I believe the majority of us have an innate ability to feel stillness and comfort at the sight of the ocean.

After re-emerging from my own battles against anxiety and depression, I've recognized nature's significant role in the healing process. I've discovered that our connection to our Mother is far more influential and related to our physical and mental health, than we tend to think.

The main idea of humankaind is to become a digital haven for those seeking comfort, change, and insight on conversations related to lifestyle, skincare, beauty, fitness, and wellness.

My ultimate goal is to increase awareness and help end the stigma that is mental health, while encouraging others to live a proactive lifestyle, rather than a reactive one.

It should be our collective goal to create and maintain healthy habits to live kindly and mindfully with ourselves, with others, and with our environment.
In the end, fundamentally contributing to the prosperity and joy of humankind and nature.

With so much love & hope,
Glo
